
Comedian Park Na Rae is currently in mourning after the recent passing of her grandmother, receiving condolences in her hometown of Mokpo, South Jeolla Province.
According to News1 on June 9, Park is staying at the funeral home in Mokpo, greeting mourners in sorrow. The funeral procession is scheduled for the 10th.
Park Narae’s grandmother once appeared alongside her in the MBC variety show 'I Live Alone' back in 2019.
In a December 2023 episode of I Live Alone, Park spoke of her late grandfather, saying, “Every year, I used to eat the kimchi that my grandparents made,” and added, “Now that my grandfather is gone and my grandmother is sick, I guess it’s time for me to start making my own.” Her comments had hinted at her grandmother’s declining health.
Park Narae debuted in 2006 as part of KBS’s 21st open recruitment for comedians. She gained popularity through programs like 'Gag Concert' and 'Comedy Big League', later expanding her presence in variety shows such as 'I Live Alone' and 'Where Is My Home'.
